This section presents writings by community members, artists, arts workers, curators, lawyers, professors and other thinkers that we asked to offer their voice. The authors are colleagues of RTM cohort members who were asked to contribute in the spirit of learning, collaboration, assessment and critique. We made space for dissent here as well and we compensated each writer for their valuable knowledge.
This series, written by some named and anonymous, serves to broaden and deepen the themes found in our accountability statement, our whiteness and patriarchy work as well as expands upon the language found in the Grievances section of this site. We will continue to engage critical thinkers in Phase Two of Readying The Museum where this section will expand to offer reflections on wealth accumulation, tax structures, real estate law, Union laws and practices and other topics critical to RTM’s working processes.
